Evidence ReportWe are currently preparing an Evidence Report to inform LDP3. &nbsp;The Evidence Report will set out the council’s view on a wide range of matters related to the development and use of land in the East Renfrewshire area. &nbsp;It will cover the characteristics of the land use and population of the plan area as well as housing, education and infrastructure matters, amongst others.The Evidence Report aims to clearly inform what to plan for before the Proposed Plan looks at where development should take place. The Evidence Report therefore will not consider specific sites.&nbsp;To provide a basis for the Evidence Report and to help establish the views of stakeholders on the evidence, we have prepared a number of topic papers covering various areas of evidence and have published them for consultation under the 3 themes of <a data-loopstyle="linkonly">NPF4</a>: Sustainable Places, Liveable Places and Productive Places.Topic Paper ConsultationWe are inviting stakeholders with an interest in these topics to read the papers and either:Confirm that they are broadly satisfied with the evidence presented; or Identify any areas of evidence which they disagree with, or significant gaps in the evidence; and supply any relevant additional/alternative evidence for the Council's consideration which they consider should be included in the topic papers and the Evidence Report.&nbsp;The Topic Papers and response forms are available <a class="fr-green" href="https://erldp.commonplace.is/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a> under the 3 themes of NPF4: <a class="fr-green" href="https://erldp.commonplace.is/en-GB/proposals/evidence-report" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sustainable Places</a>, <a class="fr-green" href="https://erldp.commonplace.is/en-GB/proposals/liveable-evidence-reports" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Liveable Places</a> and <a class="fr-green" href="https://erldp.commonplace.is/en-GB/proposals/productive-places-evidence-reports" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Productive Places</a>.&nbsp;The consultation will run for 4 weeks until 10th May 2024.

Self-build Housing Self-build housing is where an individual (whether acting alone or with other individuals) commissions or is personally involved in the design and construction of a dwelling that is intended to be the individual&#39;s main residence once it is built.
